  • Social media posts for the Dutch Embassy in Warsaw

  • Management of the NL_Wetenschap account on Twitter

From 16 to 22 November, 2020, I managed the NL_Wetenschap account on Twitter. The account is an initiative of the VSNU (Vereniging van Universiteiten: Association of Universities) and it aims to engage a large audience with all fields of scholarship and science. Sharing my research with thousands of followers was highly motivating.

  • Short film: Why learning Polish in the Netherlands is a good idea!

In February 2019, I participated in a short film entitled ‘Waarom Pools leren in Nederland een goed idee is!’ (‘Why learning Polish in the Netherlands is a good idea!’), in which I spoke about the historical relations between the Netherlands and Poland.

I have a Master’s in Education, and have enjoyed working as a Classics teacher at two secondary schools (Sint-Oelbertgymnasium, Oosterhout, 2014-2015; Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen, 2015-2016). Since the beginning of my PhD project, I have taught in a variety of contexts. In 2017, I directed a Master’s course on bibliophilia, bibliomania and book collecting (with Alan Moss). Furthermore, I have given multiple guest lectures, both at Radboud University and at the universities of Leuven, Wrocław and Gdańsk. I have also given lectures at a number of secondary schools, on the topic of performing research in the humanities.
